Step back in its history and discover what have a home in the San Nicolas community appeared to be in yesteryears. The new San Nicolas Community Museum will be the latest addition towards the museums in Aruba, opening inside the second half of 2017. This museum are going to be an invitation to understand more about deeper layers of culture on Aruba.
The new Community Museum is going to be housed within the Nicolaas Store, a recently restored monument from the heart of downtown San Nicolas. Just this restored two-level beauty may be worth a visit on its own, with original flooring and wooden doors. A terrance for the second floor provides 360 views within the city.
The museum's current location just throughout the San Nicolas bus terminal becomes the national collection and remain primarily a physical object based exhibition. This exhibition will probably be 'mined' by ten artists in order to make ten installation housed on the new location, that can draw our care about specific authentic issues with the San Nicolas Community.
